It is becoming harder and harder in writing today to distinguish what is proper compared to what is improper. It is the writer’s job to decide what they believe is appropriate to use while they are writing. Nowadays it is becoming harder because more and more people will find things that they will find offensive. It is up to the writer to know what is socially acceptable and what is not. They need to realize who will be offended by what. Some groups of people may not find something inappropriate, although another group may find it to be incredibly offensive. The writer needs to keep themselves aware of what each group will find offensive and in their writing try not to make any comment that could be seem as demeaning to any group of people.
