Sensitive Words

Certain words in the English language can be offense to certain people. For example, hearing and using the word “gay” might be a daily occurrence for some people and they are used to the slang meaning of it. However, some people are highly offended by this and would not appreciate hearing it in the way some people use it. Race can also play a huge role in being sensitive to some language. There are many words that some would use jokingly in our culture, but another culture would take it extremely offensively. Some may have a challenge with this, but they really should take notice of who is listening and how offensive it might be whether they mean it or not.
